TomTom GO 910 Music Bundle With Worlwide Mapping
Customer Review: Excellent piece of kit
I must admit to being a little aprehensive when buying the Tom Tom Go 910 due to some of the negative comments. Once it arrived however I found it to be outstanding. The full post code search makes finding locations very straightforward and points of interest have included most of what I have been loking for.
Bluetooth hands-free has worked well, on the Tom Tom site it suggested that my phone (sony 990i) would work partially, i.e. not downloading the address list, but in practice it worked perfectly.
A brilliant extra is the MP3 player which works with a 20gb memory and plays through a FM transmitter to the car stereo. This worked perfectly in a number of cars - kept the kids quiet (apart from singing) on a holiday through wales
One complaint about which much made is the car mount - with some saying it does not work - all I can say is if you follow the instructions no problems whatsoever
Overall highly recommended - but one sorry postscript, some herbert stole the GPS out of the car and Amazon no longer have it in stock so it is back to the A_Z for a few weeks
Customer Review: Me too!
Just like the other reviewers, my product code does not work, and guidance is pretty poor. Not too impressed with its navigating ability either. I have only used it once, from Shropshire to Pembrokeshire, and trying to use the route I rate as best was not possible. Apparerntly there are no routes passing through Ludlow, Leominster and/or Brecon. Not only that, but in Fishguard, trying to find a postcode, we were taken out of town, around the by-pass, then back in to the same roundabout we had already passed through. At two junctions, the nice lady inside directed us the opposite way to the mapped direction. Perhaps I should have used the man! The FM transmitter works fine in my car, but the music player is a not very sophisticated. All in all, not very impressed with a so called top of the range package.

Customer Review: Very poor at aquring satellites
Recently bought one of these based on the rave reviews here. All I can say is I\'m very dissapointed : The unit looks good, loading the maps is easy, *but* it can hardly every actually acquire a satellite signal, so it\'s basically useless.
The only time it\'s worked is if you leave it on the roof of the car for 10-15mins - not exactly helpful when it\'s raining or you\'re in a hurry.
I may try an external antenna, but out of the box this product is a major dissapointment.
Customer Review: Just does the job !!
Product arrived got it out the box and has worked perfectly, Upgraded the software from garmins website no problem very pleased indeed.Perfect no nonsense sat nav at a great price

Customer Review: TomTom the company are a joke
Having owned a TomTom 700 for some time a few months ago I bought a TomTom 720. I realised that TomTom had downgraded the product so that the remote control was no longer included but wasn\'t put off because the price is now a lot lower and the remote is available seperately. I was intrigued to see if my old remote would work but no, TomTom have changed the way it works. So I went ahead and ordered a TomTom remote. I ordered on the 1st Sept witha delivery estimate of 2 to 4 weeks. That came and went and I got an email from Amazon saying it was delayed and would be with me at the ned of October. I have just received another email from Amazon saying that it is delayed again - this time to April 2008. This is as good as saying the product doesn\'t exist. I have no faith in the new delivery date and speaking to other retailers and TomTom themsleves I can\'t get any sense at all. I\'m pretty annoyed because it TomTom\\Amazon had of been honest up front then I wouldn\'t have bought the TomTom. One retailer advsied me \"This is typical of TomTom, my advise is never buy a TomTom product unless you know they physically have it on the shelf - he even stated that he was not prepared to take my order unless they physically have stock, even for current products because TomTom\'s supply chain is atrocious\"
Customer Review: an absolute must
I find the remote control something I can\'t do without, driving and having to lean over to touch the screen is so unsafe and impractical. I owned a go 700 and it came with a remote control in the box so am used to use the remote when I drive, but I was EXTREMELY disappointed when I bought the new 720 that this was not included in the box, tomtom charges enough for it as it is and it is an absolute joke you have to buy the remote separately!
