Kirrio/ViaMichelin Bluetooth GPS Kit v3.0 - Convert Your PDA into a Sat Nav
Customer Review: Don't leave home without it

I got this around April 06 for my Palm TX, and it's practically eliminated the in car spats about map reading and getting lost. I've used it between Norfolk, Suffolk, London and Cambridgeshire. One of the Best gadgets I ever bought. It integrates with the address book on the PDA, accepts 4 digits of the postal code. Due to the date of the maps some of the directions are slightly out of date but it always got us where we want to go. In instances where the street or post code didn't show up, I've used the map function and zoom/panned around to find a nearby street to get me close to the area. We have had the software crash en-route and the receiver being Sirf II sometimes struggled with signals but each time it got us there.
Customer Review: Using with Palm Tungsten E2
If the problems could be resolved this would be very good. But downsides are so major hence 1 star. On journeys over 100 miles the unit will crash displaying a memory problem (even if nothing else is stored on the pda), therefore you need a rough idea of your route to split the journey up. On journeys over about 70 miles it will work but needs restarting 3 times at 15 sec intervals as it jumps back to the bluetooth page. When a long tunnel is encountered it will sensibly predict your progress for about 20seconds but if you are not out of it by then it will jump to bluetooth page and crash. If you pull off a mapped area, eg into a supermarket carpark or drive on a modified road junction the unit will crash. Major complex junctions can sometimes cause the unit to crash - just when you need it most. Dead ends cause 'no path possible' to be displayed then wild flashing before it crashes. Each time it crashes the pda must be removed from the holder and the soft reset button pressed with a ballpoint, then restarted and reprogrammed. Which is genuinely very dangerous on the move so if you don't have a passenger you need to pull over somewhere safe; difficult on a motorway. Pro's are good route re- calcualtion and sensible routes are normally selected.
